How I Found This Album

As you can probably tell by now, I am a huge fan of anything that Alex Turner has made (Arctic Monkeys, The Last Shadow Puppets, Submarine, etc…). When I heard that this album was being released, I was ecstatic. I naturally asked for the record for Christmas, and spent the whole night listening to it after I had finally unwrapped it. Hearing the progression of Turner’s vocal range from earlier songs like Crying Lightning to songs like Star Treatment on Tranquility Base only made me more excited for new music to come out, and built more excitement to see future shows, since I had never been to one.

Naturally, when they did release new music in 2022, along with announcing a tour set for 2023, I had to move into my dorm on the same day that they were playing in Detroit. I still haven’t seen the Arctic Monkeys live, so I just close my eyes and listen to Live At Royal Albert Hall as if I was there in person.
